| Описание |
Among many theoretical issues facing onomastic studies in this paper I pointed to one and made an attempt to consider it on the basis of one of the Turkic languages. Thus, the paper is concerned with the application of some concepts and findings of cognitive linguistics to a variety of onomastic tasks. The idea of treating proper names on the basis of a different approach was prompted in particular by the recent growth of cognitive semantics dealing with the multiformity of the meaning of human experience conceptualised in language.
