Problems of strategic planning of small business development in the Russian Federation regions are considered in this article that include ambiguity of strategic directions of small business development, monitoring and control mechanisms of strategic plans realization. The basic attention is given to definition of the strategic directions choice of small business development in depends on level of regional development, realization tools and mechanisms of the given directions are offered.
