Currently, there is a growing interest in the disclosure of non-financial and financial information by public companies containing environmental and social indicators, as well as indicators in the field of corporate governance (ESG). For study we chose the oil and gas industry of the Russia, because this industry is the main one for the Russian economy. Objective: to determine how the position of companies in the ESG criteria evaluation rating affects its real financial results.
