Описание The article is devoted to the presentation of new finds of the Byzantines seals from different parts of the Crimean peninsula.
1. Mangup. Private collection. There are images of Our Lady (obverse) and Archangel Michael (reverse). The seal is dated back to the end XI – the beginning of XII century AD.
2. Mangup. The seal was found by expedition of the Vernadskiy Tavricheskiy National University (2009). There is the inscription “Mother of God help your servant Gregoriy, imperial spatharios and archon of Cherson” (first half of IX century AD).
3. Holmovka village, Bakhchisaraj district. Private collection. There is the inscription “Mother of God help your servant Gregory, imperial spatharios and archon of Cherson” (first third of IX century AD).
4. Suren fortress. Private collection. The legend of the seal contains the name “Theophylaktos” (end of VII – beginning of VIII century AD).
5. The monastery near Ayu-Dag Mountain. The seal was found by expedition of the Crimean Department of the Institute of Archaeology. The inscription is unreadable, first half of IX century AD (?).
6. The ruins of church near fortress Demergy I. The seal was found by expedition of the Crimean Department of the Institute of Archaeology (2010). The inscription is unreadable, first half IX century AD (?).
7. City Kerch, Mount Mitridat. Private collection. There is the image of Our Lady (obverse) and fragment of the inscription (reverse). Probably it is the name “Maximos”. The seal is dated back to VII century AD.
8. City Sebastopol, Suburban Ravine. Private collection. The inscription is unreadable, X century AD (?).
9. City Sebastopol, the area of Matushenko Mountain. Private collection. The seal belongs to hypatos Zoil, but the inscription is bad preservation, first half VIII century AD (?).
10. City Sebastopol, Balaklava district. Private collection. The seal belongs to George, but the inscription is badly preserved (VII–VIII century AD).
